Just saw your note. If you still have not purchased a replacement tire for your Mustang, then let me suggest this one for you: Dunlop SP8000. They are just what you have been looking for. They will impress you thoroughly.
I have a set of 18s on my '94 Toyota Supra Turbo. My car came with Bridgestone RE020 as O.E. and they could not handle the performance and power the car had to offer. The SP8000s solved that immediately. I'm sure you've heard of the term 'BANG FOR THE BUCK!" Well, the SP8000s are definitely it.
