Simply going to a larger size 175 ... 195 will change the width by 20 millimeters, and the radius of the tire by 75% of that ~ 15 mm. That radius change would allow your car to go more miles for the same amount of REV's of your engine. The effect to the engine would be more strain not less, your odometer and your speedometer would also be off by less. I.E. you see 55 mph but you might actually be going 58-9 mph. The other factor with the larger diamater tire would be the fit in the wheel well. Maybe the clearance when turning would be the limiting factor. I would be careful about changing tire sizes without knowing the full effect.
