96 Ford Windstar tires

Outer edges wear, tried more pressure, same problem. Went to the pressure limit, same problem. Have used both Firestone and Michelin, as suggested by dealers, and tire dealers. It seems the sidewalls too weak for the weight. Any suggestions?
