I am replacing my 96 Windstar's tires too. The owner's manual warns against using high performance tires as they could increase possiblity of vehicle roll-over. I guess a sliding vehicle is better than a rolling-over vehicle.

I'm thinking about a Michelin tire like the Symmetry or XH4.
