Am using Michelin MXV4s on Mercedes 560 SEC with positive results. Tires are quiet and traction and handling is quite good. Some V rated tires can be very noisy (Yokohama AVS - S4) make more noise than studded snow tires - are excellent on dry pavement, ok in rain, disaster in snow! Be careful what tires you put on European cars. I had conversations with tech experts at Michelin before I bought the MXV4s. European cars need a tire with a more rounded profile. Many tires made for American and Japanese cars have a flatter profile and adversely affect handling on a European car. Michelon tires tend to cost a little more, but overall seem to justify their cost. The new Michelon Pilot has this flatter profile and Michelon did not recommend them for a European car.
