I have a 95 Tahoe w/ 42K miles and my original Firestones are in excellent shape. My brother-in-law has a 96 Tahoe w/ original Goodrich (about the same miles) and his tires look ready to go. I have always been partial to Firestone/Bridgestone tires. I suggest going with those. I would also recommend the 265's over the 245's. When the time comes for me to replace mine, that is what I will do. Good Luck!
