Hi everyone...
Sorry to have to post this message that everyone seems to be posting, but when it comes to selecting a good all season tire, everyone has different opinions and seems go out on a tangent, so let me try to narrow it down. I live on the WetCoast (Vancouver) and am looking for some decent all seasons for my VW Golf GL (no suspension upgrades) (195/60R14).
I have narrowed down to 3 possible tires:
Dunlop D60 A2
Firestone Firehawk SH30
Bridgstone Potenza RE930
I've put the tires in the order of price (about $10CDN difference between each tire). What I'm looking for is a tire (in order) is:
* about equal wet/dry traction as we get a fair bit of rain
* Decent cornering/ breaking performance
* not noisier than the stock Goodyear Eagle GA's as I do a lot of freeway driving
* Some snow support as we occasionally get a bit of snow from time to time.
Whatever advice (preferably on the above models) would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks
Fred
