If you want a good all-season tire. Try the Dunlop D60A2, this tire was rated by Consumers Report as the #1 all season tire in 1998. Both my brother (626) and I are using D60A2s. Great dry grip, good in the wet, and reasonable in loose snow. I drive mostly in the city and I find them adequate for the winter. Very reasonably priced too.
