Help. I need good snow tires.

I'm looking for a good long lasting snow tire. I live on the west coast and travel to the mountains often. So I drive in rain, slush, ice and snow all in the same trip. Any suggestion s based on experience would be helpful. Tire size is 185/70/14 and the vehicle is AWD.
