I run Yoko A008RSII in autocross, and yes, these race compound tires have unbelievable grip because of their soft compound, extremely stiff carcass and large contact patch. Some of our club members run A032, which has slightly better dry performance than the A008RSII. However we change our cars back to street tires (BFG Comp TA) for everyday driving. It is very risky to drive on race tires. These tires are prone to hydroplaning and wet cornering capability is very low. Even though Yoko claims these tires are DOT approved, they may not be legal under local (state, province) transportation laws.
