I have a 90 Q45 which needs tires again.
Presently I have Bridgestone RE940 which have
been wonderful except they only lasted 13K miles.
When I had the RE940's installed, I had first
tried Dunlop D60A2's. The worst tire I ever
experienced. Had Bridgestone RE930's as the last
set. They lasted 15K-20K miles, but had to be
rebalanced frequently. When I first bought the
car (used) it had Bridgestone HP41's which were
the best compromise between wear (20K miles) &
handling. Now I am betwwen another set of RE940's
and a set of Yokohama AVS S4's in a V rating.
The only reservation about the Yokohama is that
Tire Rack rates it as a much noisier tire than
the RE-940. Comments?
