The benifits to plus sizing are not specific to front or rear wheel drive vehicles. Generaly you can associate the following with plus 0 sizing.
More stability, straight line & cornering due to wider contact patch (not bigger). Better overall handling due to reducing the sidewall hieght (in your example, by 5% - 65 to 60. You would be reducing the sidewall height by 2/10 of an inch.) Cosmeticly filling the widht of the wheel wells more, but consider the look of th wheel well now from top of tire to bottom of fender edge and there would be slightly more room left open with the 225, where the 235 would accomplish both.
