Michelins will be far & above the best choice for 100% on road use for a SUV. Ride quality & noise levels especialy. Will probably deliver higher milage as well - depending on care & driving style. The dunlops will have an distinct edge once you go off pavement. Though, on road characteristics are not unexcepatable, you just need to determine if a little added off road traction is needed. Also depends which Dunlop your looking at - Rover RV or A/T. The RV is distinctly typical "all terrain" traditional type tire, the A/T is a more of a 70 / 30 % on / off pavement giving you the best of both worlds. But On road characteristics still will not be as good as LTX's. On road Wet traction will be comparable. Light snow or worse, Dunlops will out perform. Mileage, ride Q & noise levels is where the Michelins beat the Dunlops with out question. Hope it helps.
