I just bought a set of SZ50's for my '94 Z28. I have to say that they're the best "feeling" tires I've ever used. They deliver a smoother ride than the Goodyear Eagle GS-C's they replaced, without sacrificing handling at all. I was a little dismayed at the reviews from others on this BBS concerning tread life, but they are high-performance tires. Isuppose if you want long life you'll go with a tire closer to the "touring" genre, maybe a V-rated. These tires are rated better than the Goodyear Eagle GSC and the B. F. Goodrich Comp T/A in dry and wet traction, handling, cornering, noise, tread life, etc., but at $200.00 each through the Firestone dealerships, they're not cheap. I happened to hit a "buy 3, get 1 free" sale, so the total bill on the car for a set of 245/50ZR16's was $634.02 - not too bad, considering what they are. The Goodyear's are $225.00 a pop!
