You are not compromising your life by downgrading a tire's speed rating. Only under an extreme emergency situation would you get an edge by having a higher performance tire if you drive at reasonable rates. Most snow tires aren't H rated but I bet Acura recommends them for winter driving. My honda civic came with H rated tires OEM but I just put Q (99 mph)rated winter tires on it. Most drivers wouldn't notice the difference if they don't push the car. Just don't expect the same performance from an X-one compared to a decent H-rated tire. The H indicates that the tire can safely be run at speeds up to 130 mph, while a T-rated tire only goes to 118 mph. I bet the X-one will outperform some of the low line H rated tires.
