I am an employee at Les Scwab Tires center in Lynnwood, Wa. My recommendation is the Toyo Observes, a studless snow tire made of walnuts for the best traction you can get from a snow tire. Second, on my list are the Hakkapelita's, a studded snow tire with a better rubber compound for excellent traction on the ice. They also have a very good quality stud for better traction on the snow.
