Hey there....Look below for my MANY posts regarding MX-6 tires. However, here's a preview: I had the SP4000s for a little while, and HATED them in the rain and snow. They are great dry tires, but I hydroplaned like a poor SOB in the rain. They also didn't last very long (28k miles ROTATED!). I have the Nitto 450s now, and they're much better in the wet (heavy rain), but not as good in the dry as the 4000s. I haven't used them in the snow yet. I think, though, in your situation, you should invest in some snow tires (205/60-15s are better and cheaper) as I do, and get some fun summer tires (RE71s, SP8000s, Comp TA ZR, W-10s, etc.) in the 225-50-15 size (looks cool, and MUCH stickier!).
