There IS a difference huijbregt, the P265/70R15 is a passenger style tire, whereas the 31x10.5R15 is a floatation tire. The passenger tire is better suited for on road use, and the 31's are best for off road conditions such as sand, snow, mud where the tire has to "float" up and out of the debris that it is in. The 31's will be a little stiffer, and you'll probably have to change pressure also. If you have anti-lock brakes the factory may require that you stick with P265/70R15 due to a change in the tire diameter.
