I recommend your first choice...the MXV4's are simply the best...quiet, very fine traction in snow, long wear, and improved gas mileage due to silica/carbon filler tread rubber. Don't downgrade to Pirelli second string stuff. My Legend coupe flew on MXV4 Energy's.
