I live just outside of Tornto and I am looking to replace my tires on my minivan with a
good set of all season's.
Most of my driving is in the city with the occasional jaunt on the highway.
Can anyone comment(substantiated by facts and actual experience)
on the Michelin X-Ones and the Toyo 800 Ultra's. I was told by one dealer that the
Toyo's are better or at least as good in the snow as the X-Ones(snow traction not good).
How can this be true since its treadwear is higher(alluding to a harder rubber compound)
than the X-One's? My thoughs are that the weight of my van will provide a liitle more
traction in the snow.
Are the Toyo's noiser? Are there other comparable all season tires that
anyone(again first hand experience) can suggest? Should I look at Light Truck Tires
instead of passenger ones? Note that I seeking a long lasting tire that provides a
quiet ride, fair to good mud & snow performance and excellent wet and dry performance.
