My husband & I had a similar problem with our '97 Dodge Ram. It came with Wrangler RF/A's (225/75/16) and we had to replace them at 18,000 miles - 4/32 of tread left and no wet traction at all. To add to the problem, the sidewalls of all four tires started to bubble and bulge! I'll never own another set of Wranglers again. Replaced them with Bridgestone Dueler A/T and we both love them. Good ride, good looks, good traction in the rain. Haven't ever had BFGoodrich on a truck, so I can't comment there. Bridgestone has my vote.
