Tom,
Michelin has notoriously been famous for tire failures on their product line because what gives the michelin tire its sought-after smoothe ride is the soft sidewalls. I would first check to see if you have been maintaining proper tire pressures, since low profile tires require higher psi levels to help maintain the beads seated against the wheels flange. One way to eliminate the hassle and headache of blowouts on your expensive wheels is to investigate our run/flat system that can be retr-fitted to any size tire and wheel assembly, converting that tire into a run/flat tire. It won't prevent the blowout, but will eliminiate the catastrophic results of the blowout. Visit our web page at www.ssdd.com under the "new links" page or call me toll-free at 1-888-TYRON-US
