The most important number to look at in the tire size isn't the "50-55-60" it's the first number, "225-235-245". This will tell you the WIDTH of the tire. The "50-55-60" part, the second number, will tell you the sidewall HEIGHT of the tire. Tire sizes are read like this- 225-60R16 = 225mm width, 60% (of the 225mm) sidewall height (known as aspect ratio), radial construction (thats the "R") and a 16" rim. The 235-55's should work fine, and the 245's will fit, but it is correct that 245's are a bit wide for a 6.5" rim. They would be better left for at LEAST a 7" rim.
