Actually, I am pleasantly shocked by the performance of the Coopers-- the O.E.'s on my 1990 Eagle Summit ES 16 Valve were some very sweet Yoko 378's-- great grip, not so great durability. The Continental Sport Contact CH51's I got next frankly hobbled the car's formerly excellent 'chuckability' in the corners. I took an educated gamble with the Coopers, and I heartily recommend them to anyone looking for H rated rubber-- not as sharp as the 378 mind you, but a great blend of performance (driving in the rain is a revelation) comfort (?!) and durability-- I wish Cooper would hawk these tires more-- my local dealer had no idea these existed-- but the flip side is that I didn't have to pay for an ad blitz added to the cost-- so good pricing too.
