If you drive the Boxster at speed then Michelin XMS 330 are an increadible high speed winter tire. If slow speed traction is a concern then probably Bridgstone Blizzax is the way to go. The Michelins you can keep a wide tire, its not great as far as off line traction goes but more than makes up for it when you start to move around at speed. The Bridgstones I would go to a narrower than stock tire, this will improve on an already great tire. Good luck, remember make the tire match your real driving habits.
