Upsizing Fiero tires

I own a Pontiac Fiero GT -87 that for some strange reason is equipped with 14" rims with 215/60-14 tires. I'm thinking of replacing them with new in the original size, 205/60-15 + 215/60-15, or maybe even upsize to 205/55-16 + 225/50-16.
Any experiences or suggestions?
