You might want to look at Falken Ziexs. I just got a set for my Prelude
VTEC and have been very happy with them so far. At 225/50/15, they cost a
little over $100 each, so yours would be cheaper if they make that size.
The way I handle the whole "treadwear" problem is to get them from NTB.
They will give you a miliage warranty for a minimum of 30,000 miles. If
you get less than that, they refund the percentage of the miliage you didn't
get. I just got the Falkens, but got 2/3rds of the money back for the
Dunlop SP4000s that came off (I got a little under 10,000 miles out of them).
By the way, the SP9000s you mentioned are NOT approved for snow, just so you
know.
