Suggestions for my BMW 525i

I am looking for a quiet performance tire for my 1989 525i. I owned an set of early Bridgestone Potenzas when I had a Jetta. I loved them, but they weren't as good on the wet roads of Portland, OR. I put 25k miles/year so I would like something that I won't have to replace right away. Any suggestions?
