UNIROYAL & Michlein?

My tire dealer told me that UNIROYAL is owned by Michlein. Is this so? His statement was a deciding factor in my decision to buy UNIROYAL. I hope I made a good choice. Can anyone confirm or deny his statement? TNX, Tony
