03 VR6 Passat best size

I bought my 93 VR6 Passat in the winter with 215-60-15
snows installed just a little bit big, the correct size is
215-50-15 a very uncommon size has anyone out there
tried different sizes, how did they feel, what tires were
they.
Any imput will be apreciated.
