I have had the same premature treadwearout problem with Turanza S tires on Taurus Wagon, Accord LXi, Caravan ES AWD: The tires wear out prematurely on the inside and outside edges, even with trying to compensate for this design defect by slightly increasing the inflatrion pressure. The most recent, two of the Taurus tires wore down to the wires on the edge with still plenty in the center tread area after only 33,000 miles out of the warranted 80,000. And then the dealer wanted to charge again the full price for mounting, lifetime balance, rad hazard, etc. I could go broke by 80,000 miles, on three cars.
