I used to work for Firestone in sales, what you actually changed in your tires was the
height or "aspect ratio". Since the width of the tire is still 225mm, you are rubbing
because the tire is only approx. 7% shorter than the 75 series you had before. If you rarely
turn real sharp, then you may stick with the shorter tire. You should not hurt anything
as long as you don't make the steering pump whine. P.S.- you are probably going slower
than your speedometer says because the of the tire change. have a friend pace you in his
car and compare speedometer readings.
