WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND BUYING USED TIRES FOR MY CARS I PURCHASED 2 USED TIRES
AND PUT THEM ON MY REAR AXLE.... ONE DAY SHORTLY THERE AFTER I WAS "SEEING HOW FAST SHE WILL
GO".... (I HAD A 64 BUICK SKYLARK AT THE TIME.) WELL I HAD IT WOUND UP ABOUT 3/4 OF THE
WAY WHEN ONE OF THOSE TIRES LET LOOSE!! THE FORCE OF THE TREAD HITTING THE BODY MADE THE WHOLE CAR SHAKE...
U C I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE RETREADS!!! THE MOST AMAZING THING ABOUT THIS STORY IS THAT ,
AFTER SLOWING DOWN AND PULLING OFF THE ROAD, I WASN'T EVEN SURE IT WAS A TIRE!!!
THE CAR WAS STILL SITTING LEVEL!!! WHEN I WENT AROUND BACK TO CHECK THE TIRES I FOUND THAT
THE ENTIRE TREAD HAD PEELED OFF AND ALL THAT WAS LEFT WAS THE STEELBELTS...
I DROVE IT THAT WAY FOR ANOTHER 3 OR 4 MILES TO WORK AND CHANGED IT LATER!!!
P.S.... THE FORCE OF THE RUBBER HITTING THE REAR INNER FENDER WELL ACTUALLY PEELED
THE INNER FENDERWELL AND ROLLED IT UP TOWORDS THE FRONT OF THE CAR!!!!
