I don't know anything about the Michelin at Costco, but I just recently purchased a set of
Rainforce MX4's. They are very good tires! I have yet to drive them in the snow. However
I was told by an employee from the Tire Rack that they are better in the snow than the other
tires I was considering which included the acclaimed Pirelli P400 Touring and the Bridgestone
Turanza.
The MX4's deliver a smooth ride and handle well. I live in snow country too. They also
have a new compound that stays soft in the cold like snow tires which improves grip. I've
actually noticed more power with the new tires. I say go with the Rainforce MX4's.
