I have never had a firestone tire that had very good traction. They do wear like iron,
and are a quiet tire but the trade off for that has always been terrible traction
in my experience. A 'stickier' tire with better handling will probably wear a little
faster but that's usually a good trade-off. It may also be a little louder but even a
'loud' passenger tire isn't that loud. Tire noise doesn't normally bother the average
driver.
