Before taking a look at the interior of the new 1997 Q45, let's begin at the surface. The exterior of the Q45 is truly a work of art. One look and you know this is the flagship of luxury cars. Elegant lines, distinguished styling and rock-solid construction. The Q45 is the ultimate combination of luxury, performance and safety. There's no mistaking the Infiniti Q45.

The exterior body panels of of the Q45 are created from DURASTEEL®, a steel that features 50% more rust-resistant plating thickness than conventional galvanized steel to better fight corrosion. Before the primer and paint are applied, the panels are laser-etched to remove any imperfections and create an extremely smooth finish.

The panels then undergo Infiniti's 3-coat/3-bake painting process, during which the entire body of the Q45 is dipped into enamel and baked to a hard finish. This process is repeated three times. The entire car is then sprayed with a cross-linking clearcoat. The result is a finish that many refer to as a slippery, "wet look."

Standard on the Q45 is a factory-installed power sliding aluminum sunroof with integral internal wind deflector that lets the sun in at the push of a button, or tilts to quietly ventilate the cabin.

The Q45 features a spacious fully carpeted and illuminated low lift-over trunk with storage bins that offers ample room for luggage and is shaped for easy loading and unloading. An integrated cargo net designed to keep smaller items from shifing is also standard.

All Infinit Q45's are equipped with precision crafted cast aluminum alloy 7.0" x 16" wheels and all season 215/60VR16 steel belted radial tires, while Q45t models are equipped with 5-spoke performance forged aluminum alloy 7.0" x 16" wheels and high performance all-season radial tires.
