I'm planning on buying a set of new tires in the 235/45/17 size and came across these Hercules tires which seem to be a very good deal. The tread looks really nice as is the overall appearance of the tire. The tread wear is 300 which I think is not bad for a high performance tire and is W speed rated. Just wanted to see if anyone else out there has these tires and what do they think of it.IP: Logged |

I just put on a set of G5000z tires on my car and the performance and ride quality is very good. Before I had Dunlop which was an ok tire but almost costs double to get the same set when compared to the Hercules tires. I saved lots of money, and got a tire that gives me better performance than the Dunlops. Give the Hercules a try, I'm sure with the money you save and the performance you get from this tire will put a smile on your face.IP: Logged |

My cousin in France has a set of these tires, they are really good, we did almost 280 km/ph on the autoroute in his modified Audi S4. I thought this tire was only for European market untill I noticed my local tire shop carries them and so I got a set. They grip very nice, and you don't have to spend a big bundle of cash for a set. I like how the tread looks and wet traction is not bad and this is important when you live in Portland where it rains alot. Yes better tires exist, if I could afford it, I would get a set of Bridgestone pole postions but they cost an arm and a leg. But I have driven on them and WOW, great tires. But my Hercules can easily keep up with the best of them.IP: Logged |

I drive a 500hp+ Subaru Sti and when I upgraded to 18" wheels I also needed to buy new tires and all my friends thought I was going to get a well known tire brand. They were shocked when they saw my Hercules tires and said that I was crazy for buying cheap tires for such a fast powerful car. I took them for a drive and they were shocked at how good the tires are. Some cheap tires out there really are bad and not worth the money, but the Hercules are really really good tires and for sure I'm going to get another set when mine wear out.IP: Logged |

The reason I got Hercules was because they were the cheapest tires at the shop where I was getting my new wheels. I have 205/40 17 for my civic and I like the tires alot. But when these tires go, I'm going to try a set of Kumho tires. Everybody's got them and everybody raves about them because Kumho has good reputation for quality and they only $10 more per tire.IP: Logged |

I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but I have a 640hp Mitsubishi 3000GT that can do 0-60 in just under 3 seconds and tops out at 208 mph. The rubber I use normally should not be on such a beast but I use the Hercules tires 245 40 18 size. The tires are rated for 170 mph so I was crazy to get it over 200 but still the tires held up and brought me home safely. I will never go over 200 again in a W rated tire but its good to know that there are tires out there that perform very well without costing a bundle! Next tire will be a Y rated tire because they are designed for 200+ mph cruising.IP: Logged |

The Hercules G5000z tire is a great tire for people tuning their cars and are on a strict budget. I have over 35k on these tires now and they still have plenty of grip left, but I think before this winter comes, they will need replacing. What I like about this tire is the quick handling. Great for driving really fast around narrow city streets and traffic.IP: Logged |

These tires showed me that you don't always have to spend big money for big performance. I don't understand why other tire makers charge so much for their tires. My Volvo turbo never handled so good.IP: Logged |

These are great summer tires but do not drive them in the snow. I left my summer wheels on during the whole winter and driving through blizzards with these tires was a little scary, but still I managed to get home in one piece.IP: Logged |

the hercules tires are great if your the type of guy who drives their car hard and wears out his tires in less than 6 months. its now 7 months since i got these tires and i would say still maybe a month left before i need to change them. for someone who drives their car like a normal person these tires would last you a very long timeIP: Logged |

I am from Norway and I purchase these tires a few months ago and I find them to be very long lasting and smooth. Cornering is excellent and so is acceleration grip. I just took a drive from Oslo to Athens with these tires on my Hyundai Tiburon with many times along the way reaching speeds over 240 km/h. I will buy these tires again.IP: Logged |

Even if I could afford more expensive tires, I dont think I would buy them because why should I pay almost double for tires that do the same job as my Hercules tires. I have owned other Hercules brand tires and find them to be very reliable smooth and good handling tires. IP: Logged |

If I could afford to spend $240 per tire, I would for sure get me a set of the new Michelin Pilot sport 2. Amazing tires in wet and dry, the very best of European tire technology, blows all other tires away. However My budget allows me only $105 per tire which is a very nice price for a 245 40 ZR18 sized tire which is what the Hercules cost and it sure can take corners like a bat outta hell! Wet grip is nice too and the tires look good too. No complaints from me about this tire.IP: Logged |

I completely agree with your comments about the new Michelin PS2 tires. I own a set and they are the closest thing you will experience to a race tire. The French are the best at building high performance tires. My son who's car is not as powerfull as mine does have a set of Hercules G5000Z tires and those tires are also impressive in performance. One thing my son's car is very good at is handling and the tires he's got do a very good job at high speed cornering. When my Michelins wear out, I just might try a set of Hercules tires for myself.IP: Logged |

Well I just stumbled upon this site becuase I was in the market for some new performance tires. Based on what I read so far I guess i'm going to get me a set of hercueles tires. If the tires don't turn out to be the way you folks rave about them, i'll hunt you all down!! jsut kidding, I'm sure they will be good, especially for so cheap!IP: Logged |

My Integra with an HKS turbo and track tuned suspension can run circles around vettes and stangs. I run on Hercules G5000Z tires and I can pull up to any car, punch on the throttle and take off like a slingshot. I go through lots of tires and it makes sense for me to use Hercules because they last long and they're cheap to replace.IP: Logged |

For a summer only performance tire, I was actually able to drive all winter with these tires on a front drive Mazda Protege. During heavy snow the tires did slide of course, but I was always able to get home without too much trouble. I was really impressed by this. During the summer the tires grip like velcro. IP: Logged |

When I first bought this tire I thought maybe I made a mistake buying a low cost performance tire, but it turned out to be a good choice because the tire handles beautifully and wet grip is very confident. The fact that I was able to average 90 mph during a heavy rain storm driving across Montana told me that the Hercules G5000Z tires are great tires.IP: Logged |

I am from Moscow and I have this set of tires from Hercules because Moscow roads are not kind to the cars. I drive a sports BMW coupe and cracks and holes in the road can cause dammage to the tires. The Hercules tires I use are very strong and so far over one year and the tires in excellent condition. Trust me this is worth it.IP: Logged |

This tire is actually not bad in the rain, not as good as the bridgestone s02 but still pretty darn good wet performance. When yhou factor in the more than double price difference then the hercueles tires are handsdown the champion. Good stability even while driving 150mph+!!!IP: Logged |

I got a set of hercules g5000z tires for my dodge srt 4 and was pleased with the grip I was able to get from these tires. I really feel like the money I spent on these tires did not go to any waste because I got a good deal. Awsome cornering traction. weel built sidewalls which help maximize grip.IP: Logged |

These are really long lasting tires considering they're high performance tires. I had the tires now for over a year and I did about 15 trips from LA to LasVegas plus a couple drives to SanFrancisco and a drive from LA to Portland. I don't drive too crazy but I do once in a while drive hard but still, great long lasting tire, I'm getting another set next year!IP: Logged |

I drive 98 BMW M3 with 423WHP and I use hercules tires mainly because they're cheap to replace, but aside from that they're pretty decent tires over all and have a long lasting tread. I like the look of the tire but if anyone is looking for a cheap high performance tire I would go for the hercules because these tires deliver strong performance.IP: Logged |

If I decide to buy bigger wheels for my car I will also buy Hercules tires for it because my friend has a set and he drives like he is possesed and the tires always grip never wiping out. When it rains you need to be a little more carefull but this is expected of all cars and tires when it rains.IP: Logged |

This tire is worth your attention because its so inexpensive when compared to other tires and the quality and performance of it is equal to tires costing double. When I hit the throttle, my baby goes zoom and a FWD car needs lots of traction to accelerate fast.IP: Logged |

I did not think what some would consider a low end performance tire would provide my car with high end performance! When my original Dunlops wore out I replaced them with Hercules tires and I am pleased to report that the tires are smoother, quieter, longer lasting, and grippier than my Dunlops which would have cost me an additional $450 over the Hercules tires to replace!!! Now why would anyone pay that much more for tires when a set of Hercules will do a better job for so much less!IP: Logged |

Last year I attended the Gumball ralley from London to Morroco and one of the guys in the ralley had what most would agree was the fastest car of the pack. Yes faster than the Ferrari's Porsches and other ultra high end exotics. He had a Cosworth that could accelerate to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and a top speed of over 200mph. The tires he used were Hercules G5000z. Too bad he got a little too aggresive when he tried to overtake a Ferrari and lost traction while passing on the gravel shoulder at over 150mph and wiped out in Morroco. So if this guy uses Hercules tires, I will too for sure!IP: Logged |

These tires perform best after about 5000km on them. When I got them brand new, they seemed a little loose when doing aggresive lane changes at 140km/h. After a little wear the tread surface is more flat and the tires now handle great with all the confidence I need.IP: Logged |

You can abuse these tires alot and they will always still look like you drive like grandma. I do autocross with these tires in my Mini cooper S and I love how the tires grip and take corners very hard. Very reliable tire, I even drove with these tires on in a big blizzard! But its much better to use snow tires.IP: Logged |

I used to have this set of tires untill I crashed my car. It was my fault because it was snowing and I was doing about 80mph on a snow covered road and spun out and completely wrecked the car. I was in the hospital for 2 months recovering. But when its dry and even wet, the tires stick like glue!IP: Logged |

I drive very hard and I use these tires because they are cheap to replace and very durable. I think for the money they are the grippiest tires out there. The BFG KDW2 are great tires but they cost alot and the Hercules seem to be just fine when doing aggresive maneouvers. My next set will be Hercules again.IP: Logged |
