Has anyone noticed how grippy condom rubber is? I think it would be good if they used this type of rubber on tires. I bought a pair of those novelty giant condoms and wrapped 2 of my front tires with it and I noticed much better performance. Is there a reason tire manufacturers do not use condom rubber?

They do use the same type of rubber, but it's a lower grade (costs less) and the way they use it results in better wear, so the grip is lower. If you want better grip, try a DOT racing tires. they'll grip like crazy, but they only last a couple of thousand miles and cost a lot!!

Hope this helps.
