I'm looking for replacement tires for my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Quad Cab. The OEM tires are 275/60R20. I'm looking for an all terrain tire around 35-36" in diameter but I'm having a hard time finding anything but street tires for a 20 inch wheel. Anyone have any ideas?IP: Logged |

I searched some web sites for your tire size and also found nothing in all-terrain tires. As a side note, I also searched for the specifications of your tires on Vehix.com. They say the optional tires for your truck are 275/55-20. But I found no tires in that size either. I came to the conclusion that if you want all-terrain tires, you will have to buy a set of the standard size 17” wheels from your Dodge dealership, double check your current tire size, then get in touch with a knowledgeable tire dealer or a web site such as tirerack.com and have them recommend 17” all-terrain tires that have the same outside diameter as your 20” tires. I would not change to larger diameter tires as they will not only cause your odometer to be off, but also throw off computer controlled features such as ABS brakes, traction control, transmission shift points, etc. Not to mention more unsprung weight and less effective power to the ground.IP: Logged | |
