I have an XE 2001 4x4 Nisssan Xterra. I'm currently looking at 2 types of tires. The Cooper Discoverer and the Toyo Open Country. There is a considerable price difference. I have gotten mixed reactions to both. Which is better or is there something else? tire size: 265/70R15

thanks!

the best for what? off road or only on road driving. do you want a quiet ride? long wearing tires? sporty grippy tires? The Michelin Cross Terrain SUV tires are very good but very pricey. The Bridgestone Dueler H/L are nice on road long lasting quiet tires, but do poorly in the snow if you live in snow belt. The Dueler are like $50 per tire cheaper than the Michelin. It is cheaper to shop online like tires.com and especially tirerack.com
