Hey folks, I'm an occasional off-roader. I've heard a lot about BFG All-Terrains and BFG Mud Terrains. What are the best off-road tires(any brand) I can get for my Cherokee without getting a lift?

it depends on the type of terrain
my personal fav is the Big-O Pathmax AT at 10.5x31x15
basicly loose stuff=wider is better
snowy stuff= the tallest narrowest tires you can find often with an aggressive chevron tread.(mini tractor tire)
mud= it depends on the mud.

Both BFG all terrain and mud terrain are very good for a little off road here and there. I have both on my GM Sierra. In the summer I run 33's in mud terrain. They are awsesome in mud, as long as you arent a hard-core "wheeler". But they suck real bad in the snow. Thats why I run 285's in all terrain in the winter. They in my mind are awesome in the snow. But as usual, with the mud terrain on pavement comes a little more road noise. But who cares, it can be a head turner anyway. Good luck man!!
