I have rims that are 17"x7" and would like to put tires on them. Would 215 be ok on this size rim? And would that be too wide for my civic or is 205 the most i can go to?

Also...205/40/17 is the recommended for 17 plus sizing but could i go to a 215/40/17 without rubbing?
