OEM's are 225/60/16 Firestones and I am looking for a better "performance" tire which still retains "all-season" characteristics. I live in the NW, so rain is a big issue, but snow is not... Also, I want something that still looks "aggressive", but that is of course secondary to performance. I have yet to find an extended-life tire that I was happy with, so something in the 40k wear life is preferred. Thanks....

I think the best tires at a decent price too for your car are the Bridgestone Turanza RE950. They have scored very high in performance testing, are listed as ultra high performance all season, and last over 40,000miles. Check them out at tirerack.com
