I'm looking to replace the tires on my 96 Mustang. One of the better deals that I've found are on some Daytons made by Bridgestone/Firestone. Problem is, I come from a family that hasn't had the highest opinion of Firestone products. Can anyone vouch for the quality of their tires? I'm not looking for performance as much as treadwear. In other words, I'm not concerned about how well it handles at high speeds or if it's Z-rated, but I am interested in a tire that is dependable and will last a long time. Any comments are appreciated!!IP: Logged |

check out the touring and grand touring tires at tirerack.com if you want long treadwear shoot for anything over 500. then go by reputation, customer survey results, customer comments, test results and word of mouth. I think you will be happier shopping around instead of settling for the Dayton's. What treadwear do they post? How much are they compared to other tires at tirerack.com in your size and with longer treadwears? Good luck.IP: Logged |

Bridgestones should be ok, but I'm afraid Daytons may be more like Firestones.IP: Logged | |
