Has anyone seen the BFGoodrich promotion in which they gave away a g-tech perfromance meter for buying 4 tires? You can buy 4 185/60-14 Touring TAs for $200 and get the device. Great deal.

But, when you buy 2 255/40-17 G-force KDs for $550, they say, even at the level of promotional program administrator, "NO WAY!"

Lois, the program administrator told me that she had fielded 26 calls just like mine today. There are thousands of customers out there to whom BFG, aka Michelin, says, "you don't matter to us."

The worst thing about this promotion is that, accordning to Lois, the marketing people at BFG were told to expect that many customers in my position would be turned off by the strict nature of the rules. They could have budgeted for these people and set aside a pool of funds to delight their good customers. They chose not to.

It will be interesting to see how BFG handles me if I have a problem with their tires. They'll probably try to screw me.
