After more than a decade of providing consumers worldwide with Lemon Law information and problem resolution, AUTOPEDIA® has established a Recommended Dealer Policy that, for the first time, gives consumers the ability to select a dealer based upon how that dealer will handle things in the event something goes WRONG.
Much more important than PRICE, SELECTION or LOCATION, consumers need to know how a dealer will handle things if something goes WRONG, because when things go RIGHT, as they usually do, the consumer doesn't even see the dealer, except for service. But when something goes WRONG, and you are stuck with a dealer who is confrontational, uncooperative, or worse - it can be THE SINGLE WORST NIGHTMARE OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE.(And we have the letters and email to prove it.)
As the #1 Consumer Lemon Law organization in the world, AUTOPEDIA® has screened and selected dealers who have all signed agreements that promise to expedite the problem resolution process and meet or exceed all applicable federal and state Lemon Law Statutes in order to resolve consumer problems as efficiently and quickly as possible. It is this HIGHER STANDARD that has earns these dealers the AUTOPEDIA® RECOMMENDED DEALER designation.
A dealer may qualify to be listed as an AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealer when:
1. AUTOPEDIA® receives convincing, multiple, unsolicited customer recommendations from consumers that can be verified, and or;
2. AUTOPEDIA® determines that a dealer generally meets or exceeds the following minimum requirements:
a. The dealer must have been in business at least one year on date of application, and or;
b. The dealer provides verifiable letters of recommendation from satisfied customers, dated within the last 12-24 months, and or;
c. The dealer may have no repetitive history of outstanding UNRESOLVED or NON-RESPONSIVE complaints with the BBB, State DMV or State Attorney General's Office. Dealer must respond to all complaints and attempt to resolve complaints in manner consistent with manufacturer guidelines and state or local statutes, and or;
d. The dealer agrees to provide expedited response and problem resolution procedures that exceed the minimum standards required by law, and or;
e. The dealer agrees to provide a designated contact person for all consumers directly recommended by AUTOPEDIA® to provide additional assistance and answer any questions.
f. In the event that a dealer fails to abide by or fails to fulfill the "spirit and intention" of the AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealer Policy, that dealer shall forfeit his listing as an AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealer.
