andrelorBecause I don't have the placard (sticker) anywhere on my car indicating the normal tire pressure, can anyone tell me what is the recommended pressure for a Nissan Altima 2002 3.5SE automatic for front and rear wheels.
CapriRacerI'll have an answer for you after New Year's when I get back to my office and have access to "Tire Guides" which summarizes the info on placards.

In the meantime, you could do a little research:

1) To the best of your ability, what tire size came on the car? Is that the size that is on there now?

2) Go to a Nissan dealer and read the placard off a similar vehicle.

One last question - Is it that the placard fell off, or is it that you can't find it?

The original tire is Bridgestone 215/55R17 but I have right now a snow tire being a MIchelin Artic Alpin 215/60R/16 mounted on a rim. The driving feels almost harder on the suspension.

I suspect the placard never got installed or fell off, but it is impossible to find.

Thanks

CapriRacerI looked up your vehicle in "Tire Guides" and here's what I found ---> A 2002 Nissan Altima came with a variety of tires, including.. P215/55R17 in both H and V speed ratings, on 7" wheels inflated to 33 front and 30 rear.

You said you were using P215/60R16's, which are less than 1% smaller in diameter and slightly higher in load carrying capacity - overal a good choice. Use the same inflation pressures for both tires.

Hope this helps.
