JeffHi,

Canadian tire sells their Nordic Wintertrac tires. I called BFGoodrich and the guy there confirmed that these are the same tire as their Winter Slalom (Except for the name on the tire).

My wife drives a 89 Corolla with 155-80-13. This will be her first winter driving and I want to make it as safe a possible for her. Her annual mileage is very low (about 10,000km or around 6,000 miles per year). Since this is such low mileage, I am thinking of running these all year long, including the summer months. Should these still last at least 3 years?

Also, any comments or reviews about these tires will be appreciated!! Thanks.

Jeff

CapriRacerIf your ambient temperature ever exceeds 60F, then it is a bad idea to run snow tires year round.

Snow tires are compounded to run at lower temperatures and the wear pretty poorly as the temperature rises. Not to mention that the tread compound's resistance to failure is also reduced as the temp goes up.

Hope this helps.
