stangman675@cs.comI have been looking into buying new tires for my 94 f250. I currently have wild country TXR 285-75-16 on it now. I would like to go to 255-85-16. I wanted to run BFG All terrian TA's but they aren't available in this size. So next I thought about the Mud Terrians . I am worried about how they will wear because of their agressive design. That is why I am doing away with the wild country's-they are wearing uneven and have an awful vibration.
So if anyone has run a set of mud terrains on the street, please let me know your results and opinion on them or if you know of another tire that would work well for this application.
Dar97Other tires you could look at in that size would be Dunlop Radial Rover A/T and Dunlop Radial Rover R/V.

Muds in general will wear faster on the street because they use a softer rubber compound, but the BFG's aren't too bad. They have less flexibility in the tread blocks and so their "wet road" traction isn't as good as an all season or all terrain, and they are definately rougher riding and louder.
