Intrepid224I was hoping somone could offer some comments or suggestions. I am looking to get 4 new tires for my 1998 Intrepid ES which have stock Eagle GA's. I have narrowed it down to 2 choices.

The Yokohama Avid Touring or the Toyo 800 Ultra. I have talked to many dealers and heard a lot of positive comments about the Toyo Ultra.

Price for both seem very similar so that is not a major factor. I have even heard the Toyo compared to Michelin. I do not know if this is accurate. I am in a snowy climate so bad weather traction is a factor.

Any comments (positive or negative) about the Yoko or Toyo would be apprecaietd?

Toronto DriverI have a set of Toyo Proxes H4 on a 1994 Toyota Camry V6 and am really pleased with them. Excellent treadwear, great traction in the rain and snow plus a H rating to boot! The Yokohama AVID Touring is a decent tire but I've heard it's rain and snow traction leave something to be desired. Stick with the Toyos.
